Abstract

This paper discuss the transport policies in Paraná state, from 1995 to 2002, identifying wich government actions were achieved in the period. It pinpoints the real political practices used in the decision process models discussed by current literature. The condition to examining government actions took in to considerations the changes happened, refered to government role in levels of state, in Brazil and Paraná State, choosing the transport sector due its importance for economic development in regional and national context. The State infrastruture of transports is evalueted in its deficiencies and necessities due shortage of financial and human resources. The process cheks physical and financial information put in accounting records, reports and official documents
