Abstract

This paper aims at analysing the pluriactivity of rural families in the metropolitan region of Curitiba, being the microdata from the IBGE’s Demographic Census 2000 used for this analysis. This region was chosen because of its different features in socioeconomic as well as environmental terms. In fact, this region shows not only areas highly populated with one of the most important dynamics from the center-south of the country, but also isolated and depressed areas with low population density
