Abstract

This paper aims to analyze the standard of international trade specialization of the state of Paraná identifying the most dynamic industries in the period between 2001 and 2011. So, various indicators of international trade of the state are calculate, such as intra-industrytrade and comparative advantage index. The results show that despite the state of Paraná have sought for diversification of the productive sector and thus, the export agenda, thiscontinues to be predominantly composed of natural resources based sectors. Therefore, when analyzing the proposed indicators, the conclusion is that the sectors that specializes in international trade exhibit conventional comparative advantages, although the existenceof intra-industry trade in specific sectors.
